Energy Union Task Force Convenes to Coordinate Diesel Supply and Pricing in Europe

The Energy Union Task Force – Security convened to address recent developments in the diesel market and their impact on prices. High-level representatives from the European Commission and EU member states discussed the need for collaboration amid the challenging market conditions.

The International Energy Agency updated members on the collective effort to release oil stocks, initiated in March.

Currently, diesel supply in the EU is stable; however, prices remain elevated due to global market constraints. The Commission and Task Force will keep a close watch and coordinate actions as needed.
