The class action lawsuit against Quten Research Institute, filed in California, claims that their Qunol Ultra Omega-3 Fish Oil contains significantly less omega-3 than advertised. Independent testing indicated only 404 mg of omega-3 per two-capsule serving, despite the label stating 1000 mg. Legal experts note that such discrepancies between label claims and actual content are common and easy for attorneys to challenge due to the straightforward “consumer didn’t get what they paid for” argument.
The complaint also references prior Consumer Reports testing that purportedly found similar deficiencies in omega-3 levels. Legal professionals advise brands to review their labeling practices and ensure ingredient stability to avoid legal repercussions, especially as demand for compliance increases in light of published product testing. Quten Research Institute offered no further comment on the matter.
