Camila Cabello and Young Thug have both achieved their first No. 1 status on the Billboard Hot 100 with their hit “Havana,” which climbed from No. 2 to No. 1 in the chart dated January 27. This track also marked their inaugural No. 1 on the Streaming Songs chart, reflecting a significant increase in popularity, with a 34% gain leading to 44.9 million U.S. streams for the week ending January 18.
This milestone coincides with another achievement for Cabello, as she also secured her first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 with her debut solo effort, Camila. Young Thug, whose real name is Jeffery Lamar Williams, reached the top spot after nearly four years in the industry and 24 prior chart entries since his debut with “Stoner” in March 2014.
Young Thug had previously scored five top 40 hits, peaking highest as a featured artist on “Lifestyle,” which managed to reach No. 16 in November 2014. Other notable collaborations included tracks with Rae Sremmurd, Usher, and Drake, and he has gathered considerable success on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart as well.
