In alignment with the Division’s vision to be “A University of Global Excellence in Research and Innovation for Sustainable Development,” I envision the Research, Production, and Extension (RPE) division as a hub of state-of-the-art facilities, equipped with seasoned and motivated researchers and Research and Innovation Managers.
To enhance our research efforts, we must strengthen multidisciplinary and multi-institutional collaboration. Building stronger connections between innovators, researchers, and industry is essential. Furthermore, digitizing our activities and processes will significantly improve operational efficiency within the division. We also need to enhance resource mobilization through grant proposals and consultancy bids, alongside the commercialization of our research and innovation outputs.
Our university farms should provide sufficient food to support the university community while generating surplus for neighboring areas.
Moreover, the division should play a pivotal role in the internationalization of the university through collaborations with global organizations. Community outreach and technology transfer initiatives will be bolstered through various activities.
