Maurten has introduced Maurten Addition, aimed at helping athletes combat flavor fatigue during training or competitions.

“Continuous consumption of carbohydrate sources, even with neutral flavors, can lead to flavor fatigue,” the brand explains on its website. “Symptoms of this fatigue can include a diminished motivation to adhere to fueling plans, nausea, and a decreased sense of taste.”
“For athletes affected by this fatigue, the result may be reduced fuel consumption and subsequent energy deficits. Maurten Addition allows athletes to diversify their taste preferences without compromising the effectiveness of Hydrogel Technology.”
