Instagram has recently unveiled a new feature called the ‘AI creator’ account label. This label is specifically designed for users who frequently employ AI tools to generate content on the platform.
This label can be activated through the profile settings, and it will appear in the creator’s bio as well as on posts in various sections, including Feed, Reels, and Explore. The primary aim of this feature is to enhance transparency regarding AI-generated content, allowing users to gain a clearer understanding of how certain posts are produced.
The introduction of this new label complements Instagram’s existing ‘AI info’ labels, which are applied to individual posts containing AI-generated material. In instances where both labels are relevant, the ‘AI info’ tag will take precedence and be displayed on the content instead of the more general ‘AI creator’ label.
Creators who consistently share AI-generated content are encouraged to utilize this label; however, it remains an optional feature. Instagram clarified that enabling this label will not impact the visibility or recommendations of accounts or posts on the platform. The feature is designed to provide audiences with enhanced context regarding creators and their use of AI tools in crafting content.
Users can easily add the label by navigating to ‘Edit profile’ and toggling the AI creator label switch. Once activated, the label will automatically appear in the profile’s bio and beneath the username on all relevant content.
