“I kick off my mornings with ginger juice and a touch of honey. While honey can spike your sugar levels, I find it essential for my routine. After that, I move on to my garam paani with nimbu (warm water with lemon) to help reduce body acidity. This transition helps balance my body’s alkalinity, which is crucial. Following this, I focus on various types of flavored water instead of juices—although I love juices, I feel they lack fiber,” Jafry explained.


“I sip on my vitamin water throughout the day. I also infuse my water with various health-boosting ingredients depending on how I feel, such as cucumber, mint, and chia seeds. I mostly use sabza, which offers similar benefits to chia seeds,” she added.

  • Cucumber water aids in detoxifying the skin from within. Staying hydrated helps eliminate toxins, contributing to a radiant complexion. Cucumbers are rich in pantothenic acid (vitamin B-5), known for its acne treatment properties.
  • Chia seeds help suppress appetite and promote feelings of fullness. Their cooling effect is a further advantage—they are also a source of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids.
