Geely Auto Plans to Launch Multiple Models in Canada by 2027

Geely Auto has announced its entry into the Canadian market starting in 2027, introducing various models from its lineup, which includes Geely, Geely Galaxy, Zeekr, and Lynk & Co. The company is actively establishing a retail and service network in Canada.

Canada’s recent decision to allocate an annual quota of 49,000 Chinese electric vehicles, combined with a reduced tariff rate, positions Geely well, especially as the quota is set to increase to 70,000 vehicles per year. Companies like Tesla and Lincoln have already benefited from this policy. Geely Group is also taking advantage of lower tariffs for its Polestar and Lotus brands, as competition from other Chinese manufacturers, like BYD, heats up.

CarNewsChina predicts Geely may launch popular models such as the Geely EX2 and EX5, targeting the affordable segment of the market. The company aims to leverage global expertise in engineering, safety, electrification, and manufacturing to succeed in Canada.

In terms of growth, Geely Auto reported record cumulative sales of over 2.235 million units from January to September 2026, with a significant increase in overseas exports—up 169% year-over-year. September 2026 alone saw exports surpassing 106,000 units, maintaining a high monthly sales volume and demonstrating potential for new energy vehicle sales.
