Barry Manilow Makes His Comeback to the Stage After Six Weeks Away

Barry Manilow made a triumphant return to the stage after a break following his summer tour. Performing at the International Theater at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino, he greeted the audience with, “This is the first time back in a long time. I have some medical problems, but I’m back!” His return comes after a battle with lung cancer that led to postponed performances.

During his performance, audience members tossed underwear onto the stage, and he humorously engaged with the crowd, saying, “God, I feel like I’m a teenage idol again.” Last year, Manilow had surgery for his cancer diagnosis and returned to performing in June, supporting his new album “What a Time.”

In August, he paused his shows due to vocal and technical issues, stating, “We were pushing a little too hard.” He promised a return to the stage on Oct. 8, with another performance scheduled for the following evening.
