Go World Travel Magazine has been awarded the Bronze award for Best Editorial Travel Website at the 2026 Lowell Thomas Travel Journalism Competition, hosted by the Society of American Travel Writers Foundation (SATW Foundation). The announcement was made at the SATW annual convention on October 6 in Haywood County, North Carolina.

About the Competition
The Lowell Thomas Competition is recognized as North America’s premier travel journalism contest. Since its inception in 1984, the SATW Foundation has awarded more than $25,000 annually for excellence in print, digital, multimedia, and broadcast work. The competition is unique as it is independent of destination promotions, has no membership requirements, and is judged by journalism faculty.
This year, 26 judges at the University of Missouri School of Journalism evaluated 1,568 entries, ultimately recognizing 120 outstanding works.
