Gubernatorial Candidates Visit New Hampshire Companies

Summary of Recent Campaign Activities in New Hampshire

Location: Goffstown, N.H.
Key Figures: Gov. Kelly Ayotte (Republican) and Cinde Warmington (Democrat)

On Thursday, the race for New Hampshire’s governorship intensified as Gov. Kelly Ayotte received a significant endorsement from the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB). This support is largely attributed to her advocacy for tax relief, which aims to boost small businesses across the state.

During her campaign visit to Landscape Plus in Goffstown, Ayotte reminisced about her past experiences helping her husband with his landscaping and snow removal business. She emphasized the impact of lowered business taxes on the state’s economy, stating that this strategy has driven revenue growth and provided relief to small business owners.

In contrast, her opponent, Democratic challenger Cinde Warmington, focused on small business support during her visit to White Mountain Lumber in Berlin. She stressed the importance of infrastructure and workforce availability, advocating for solutions addressing housing and childcare needs. Warmington firmly stated that she would avoid imposing additional tax burdens on struggling small businesses, especially in the encumbered North Country, which has felt the repercussions of recent tariffs and trade disputes.
