Joseph Trafton joined Midday Live to preview two upcoming Orchestra Kentucky performances at the SKYPAC.
The first, “Broadway in the Shadows,” scheduled for Oct. 17, explores dark and mysterious characters from musical theater, featuring music from “Jekyll and Hyde,” “Phantom of the Opera,” “Mack the Knife,” and “The Little Mermaid.” The show will highlight three Broadway Phantoms alongside vocalist Elizabeth Welch as Christine.
The second event, on Oct. 24, is a collaboration with bluegrass legend Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder, melding a full orchestra’s sound with Skaggs’ mandolin, fiddle, and vocal performances.
