Linh Hoang, known affectionately as the “flower whisperer,” cultivates over 400 dahlia varieties in her Cortlandt Manor garden. To share her tranquil morning ritual, she opened a café named Dahlia’s Song in a historic building in Tarrytown, featuring preserved architectural elements.
The café offers a curated Vietnamese menu with items like rich coffee, banh mi, and summer rolls, alongside a flower station where customers can create their own bouquets. The inviting space includes cozy seating and personal touches, such as lyrics from her late husband’s favorite song, “Here Comes the Sun.”
In addition to enjoying the atmosphere, visitors can explore workshops on flower pressing and wreath-making. With a positive outlook, Hoang expresses her hope that people will simply enjoy their time at her café.
