This past weekend on News 12+, Senate Republican Leader Anthony Bucco discussed a 4-point affordability plan aimed at benefiting New Jersey residents and businesses in a new segment called “Take on Trenton.” One key proposal in this plan is to reduce the state’s sales tax from 6.625% to 6%, which Bucco believes would provide necessary relief to residents.
Bucco stated that while the tax cut may not significantly affect the budget, it would give people a sense of hope and increased purchasing power, allowing those living paycheck to paycheck some breathing room.
