Equipment Rental Business Expands Operation in Island City

ISLAND CITY — A rental equipment business in Island City has expanded its operations.
4 Bears Enterprise LLC, located at 10102 S. McAlister Road, has leased a new property at 10202 W. First S. to create a show lot for its rental equipment inventory. The business originally opened in July 2025 at its principal office on McAlister Road. In August, it began leveraging the First Street lot, adding a sign and showcasing its rental equipment for customer convenience.
The business name, 4 Bears Enterprise, reflects the family-owned nature of the venture, with four equal partners: father Nathan Bear and his sons, Jerron, Trevin, and Kendall Bear.
“We saw an opportunity and recognized the high demand for this equipment, plus we wanted to do things together as a family,” said Trevin Bear. With Trevin having a background in landscaping and other family members experienced in construction, establishing an equipment rental company felt like a natural choice.
Available rental equipment at 4 Bears Enterprise includes excavators, skid loaders, telehandlers, and enclosed cargo trailers. At the McAlister Road location, they also sell hardscape products, such as pavers and retaining wall blocks.
Rental rates vary depending on usage duration—options include up to five hours, a day, a week, or a month. Additionally, for an extra fee, 4 Bears offers delivery of equipment to the job site. If customers return the equipment clean, the business waives the cleaning fee.
“Most equipment is fairly basic to run, but if the customer needs some instruction, we can provide that,” Trevin added.

“For the initial contact, we prefer customers to call us. After that, they can text if they want,” Trevin stated. A business website is currently in development and will feature additional information and a contact link.
