The aerospace market’s allure for automotive companies is on the rise, as indicated by the Querétaro Aerocluster welcoming nearly 46 automotive firms seeking opportunities in the sector over the past year and a half. Nancy Casares González, the cluster’s executive director, noted that the automotive sector faces uncertainties due to U.S. tariff policies and supply chain changes, making diversification appealing.
To support this transition, the Cluster and uministro’s Supply Chain Commission have launched a certificate program focusing on Competitiveness in the Aviation Supply Chain. This initiative aims to equip companies with essential skills to navigate aerospace requirements while expanding their business networks. It’s open to firms looking to diversify into aerospace, offering insights into regulations, certification, and foreign trade dynamics.
Casares González emphasized that the initiative is not only for existing aerospace companies but also for automotive firms wanting to make informed transitions into this promising sector.
