Chet Hanks recently reignited tension with comedian Eric André during ComplexCon in Los Angeles, confronting him over past remarks made on “The Eric André Show.” In a video Hanks posted, he appeared to engage in a heated exchange with André, who initially dismissed the confrontation. This tension stems from a 2023 interview where André described Hanks as “emotionally disturbed” and recounted a dangerously chaotic incident from Hanks’ appearance on his show.
The feud includes past exchanges on social media, with Hanks claiming he was merely trying to match the show’s absurdity, while André robustly challenged Hanks’ cultural actions and lineage. Hanks sarcastically acknowledged André’s comments on cultural activism in his online posts.
André has been an outspoken social activist, including settling a racial profiling lawsuit related to a 2021 incident at Atlanta’s airport. The ongoing conflict highlights both personal and cultural tensions, underscoring the complicated dynamics between the two figures.
