DP World and MOL Progress Automotive Logistics Initiatives at Jebel Ali

DP World and Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) have signed a term sheet to establish an automotive logistics and processing facility at Jebel Ali Port in the UAE. The initiative aims to combine vehicle storage, pre-delivery inspection, and other value-added services at one location, enhancing vehicle storage capacity and trade between Asian automotive manufacturing centers and growing markets in the Middle East and Africa.

This facility is set to bolster automotive trade through Jebel Ali Port, which handled nearly 1.1 million vehicles in 2025. The agreement is a continuation of the collaboration between DP World and MOL, with discussions on the project expected to proceed. MOL is headquartered in Tokyo and operates a fleet of 930 vessels with over 11,500 employees as of March 31, 2026.
