ICE Arrests Three Immigrants in Metairie

ICE New Orleans reported that agents arrested three individuals at a busy intersection in Metairie. The incident occurred in a parking lot at Airline Drive and Clearview Parkway around 7:30 a.m. Witnesses described how agents surrounded the three individuals.
During the operation, one individual fled on foot into oncoming traffic, successfully navigating across six lanes. Eventually, ICE agents apprehended the fleeing suspect, and officials stated that pursuing someone into traffic does not violate their policy.
An ICE spokesperson confirmed that all three arrestees were unlawfully present in the U.S. and are currently in ICE custody pending immigration proceedings. However, their identities, the reasons for their arrests, and any charges have not been disclosed.
