LAKE STEVENS, Wash. — A man was hospitalized with life-threatening gunshot wounds following an assault in Lake Stevens on Monday morning.
The Lake Stevens Police Department, along with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, responded to reports of an assault with a weapon in unincorporated Snohomish County. Upon arrival, deputies found a man inside a vehicle suffering from serious injuries.
The victim was quickly transported to a local hospital for emergency treatment.
Shortly after, an adult male suspect was detained for questioning without incident; however, no further details about him were released.
Detectives indicated that the assault took place inside the car and it appears the suspect and victim are acquaintances.
The investigation is ongoing.
