Local Business Updates: Cace’s Kitchen Expansion and More
Cace’s Kitchen Expands in Longview
Cace’s Kitchen has expanded its footprint at 104 N. Green St. in downtown Longview. Established in 2015 after the closure of Johnny Cace’s Seafood and Steakhouse, mother-daughter duo Cathy and Chelsea Cace initially sold the restaurant’s renowned cheese and croutons. Over time, they widened their offerings to include grab-and-go food from the original menu.
The recent expansion involves taking over more space in the original Johnny Cace’s location. “We needed more space,” said Cathy Cace, detailing the need for additional production and kitchen areas to support their products in East Texas stores. The expansion has also improved the restaurant’s visibility, with a new entrance on Tyler Street.
The 2,600-square-foot venue now features two dining areas with 50 seats, accommodating larger groups and hosting parties. Both Caces expressed enthusiasm for the ample seating, noting that previous limitations had deterred some guests from dining in.
