New Online Business One Stop Services Launched in Stanislaus County
Modesto, CA — Stanislaus County Workforce Development has introduced an innovative online platform, the Business One Stop Services website, aimed at providing entrepreneurs and business owners with essential resources for every stage of their business journey. The site went live on October 1 and is funded by Stanislaus 2030 investments.
Streamlined Business Resources
This new centralized hub is designed to reduce barriers to growth and assist local businesses in navigating a changing economic landscape. The platform is organized into four distinct pathways:
- Start Your Business: Guidance on licensing, registration, and compliance for new entrepreneurs.
- Run Your Business: Tools for operations, workforce development, marketing, and regulatory updates for existing owners.
- Expand Your Business: Information on procurement, franchising, capital access, and market data for those looking to grow.
- Transition Your Business: Resources for business owners preparing for selling, transferring, or dissolving their companies.
Additional Features
The website includes a public event calendar for workshops, job fairs, and networking opportunities, and a procurement section that outlines local contracting processes. It highlights support available through the Small Business Development Center and offers a directory of Community Development Financial Institutions for lending options aimed at underserved communities. Permitting guidance is also provided to help business owners navigate county and city requirements.
Collaboration for Economic Growth
This initiative represents a collaborative effort among local cities, workforce agencies, nonprofits, lenders, and business organizations, all focused on strengthening the small-business ecosystem and enhancing economic mobility in the region.
