All eastbound lanes on the Long Island Expressway were temporarily shut down Friday morning due to a tractor-trailer fire. The Nassau County Fire Marshals Office reported that the fire occurred near Exit 35 and was extinguished by the Manhasset-Lakeville Fire Department, with no injuries reported. Hazmat units were called to the scene due to two leaking fuel tanks, and approximately 150 gallons of diesel fuel were recovered, according to fire marshals.
