This week, North Korean state media focused on domestic issues, deliberately omitting news about increasing tensions with South Korea. A landmine explosion at the border, which injured South Korean soldiers, prompted a statement from Kim Jong Un’s sister, Kim Yo Jong, but this was not reported in domestic media.
Instead, reports highlighted North Korea’s participation in the Asian Games, showcasing notable achievements in women’s soccer and weightlifting. KCTV also began broadcasting weightlifting events.
In addition, the rice harvest received significant coverage, with daily updates on agricultural progress across the nation.
