SpaceX Rocket Launch Scheduled for Thursday Night
BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – SpaceX is gearing up for a late-night rocket launch from Florida’s Space Coast on Thursday. The Falcon Heavy rocket is expected to lift off from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center at 11:53 p.m., as stated by company officials.
If the launch cannot proceed as scheduled, there will be a backup opportunity on Friday at 11:48 p.m. The 45th Weather Squadron predicts a 40% chance that weather could disrupt Thursday’s launch attempt.
This mission will mark the second and fourth flights of the two first-stage side boosters involved, which were previously utilized in launching the GOES-U, Viasat-3 F3, and Roman Space Telescope missions.
