This year’s drive features a werewolf theme titled “Give Till You Howl.” Organizers encourage donors to wear costumes, adding a festive touch to the event.
“It’s a simple way to help someone in our community, and we hope people will make an appointment, put on a costume and join us for this spirited Halloween tradition,” said LJ Houska, vice president of Houska Automotive.
Over the last quarter-century, approximately 1,250 people have donated through this drive. This year, organizers hope to surpass 1,300 donors.
Blood donations from the Garth Englund Blood Center are vital, remaining within the region to support UCHealth Poudre Valley Hospital, Medical Center of the Rockies, Greeley Hospital, and Longs Peak Hospital.
Donors at the event will receive a limited-edition “Give Till You Howl” T-shirt and can enter to win one of two $100 Houska Automotive credits. Additionally, one lucky donor will win a set of Goodyear tires.
Houska Automotive, a longstanding family business in Fort Collins, has been dedicated to community involvement through blood donation for many years.
Interested donors can reserve an appointment online. More information about Houska Automotive can be found at HouskaAutomotive.com.
