Greek Food Festival Returns to Bakersfield

The Greek Food Festival is set to return with a fresh lineup of dishes and exciting new experiences, including a self-guided tour that allows visitors to explore Greek culture at their own pace.
Elaine Theodore Solin, the president of St. George Parish, highlighted the immersive experience the festival aims to provide. The self-guided tour features informative posters describing various Greek saints and their respective feast days.
In previous years, tours were scheduled, but this year’s self-guided option gives attendees the flexibility to explore without a fixed timetable. Visitors will be able to learn about Greek traditions through informational sections, supplemented with pamphlets for further reading.
Solin mentioned that volunteers have been preparing the tour since last year to ensure accuracy and convey the rich history effectively.
Before embarking on the tour, guests are kindly asked to leave food and drinks outside.
