A 13-year-old boy, Anderson Castro, is recovering in the hospital after a serious accident where he was hit by a car while walking home from school in Tucker, Georgia. The incident occurred near a four-way stop close to Tucker Middle School. Witnesses reported that Castro was crossing the street when one driver signaled for him to go, but he was then struck from behind by another vehicle.
Video footage captured by bystanders shows the chaos that followed, with people rushing to help Castro, who was trapped under the vehicle. His mother expressed gratitude for the witnesses who assisted and updated her on the situation. Castro sustained severe injuries, some of which were too extensive to show on camera.
The driver involved stayed at the scene, and police are still investigating the incident; no charges have been filed yet.
