University of New Haven begins building a new $45 million business school facility.

The University of New Haven has officially broken ground on a new state-of-the-art facility for its Pompea College of Business, with a ceremony held on September 18. Named Martin Family Hall in honor of major donors Dennis and Barbara Martin, the $45 million, 50,000-square-foot building will serve as a prominent gateway to the campus.

This project is entirely funded through philanthropy, with over $25 million contributed by the Martins and the Pompea family. The new facility will showcase advanced features like an AI business analytics and financial trading room, an executive boardroom, and a business pitch classroom, aimed at enhancing experiential learning for students.

University President Jens Frederiksen emphasized the building’s role in innovation and education, while Dean Brian Kench noted that it reflects a commitment to real-world experience. Grace Designs of St. Louis is the architect, and Consigli Construction will oversee the construction, creating an estimated 35 jobs in the process.
