CEER Launches Exobot: Saudi Arabia’s First Flagship Electric Vehicle
Saudi Arabia’s national automotive company, CEER, has unveiled its first flagship electric vehicle line, the Exobot. This new range includes an electric sedan and an SUV, marking the initial offerings in a projected lineup of seven vehicles aimed for release by 2030. These vehicles will encompass midsize and compact segments and feature various propulsion options.

Both vehicles will be produced at the CEER manufacturing complex located in King Abdullah Economic City. The company was established by the Public Investment Fund (PIF) in 2022 in partnership with Taiwan’s Foxconn, representing Saudi Arabia’s first local vehicle brand.
Future Goals
The joint venture aims to diversify the national economy and build a domestic automotive industry as part of Saudi Vision 2030. CEER projects to significantly boost the Saudi economy, forecasting an $8 billion contribution to GDP and improvement of the trade balance by $21 billion by 2034. The company plans to source 45% of vehicle materials locally by that year.
Official Launch
The Exobot was unveiled during an event featuring Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, highlighting its significance in promoting a sustainable industrial ecosystem. The Crown Prince emphasized the importance of the automotive sector in driving economic growth and attracting investment.
The Exobot represents not just a leap for CEER, but also a pivotal moment for Saudi Arabia as it establishes itself as a competitive player in the global automotive industry.
