Veritas Expands into Morocco with New Manufacturing Facility
In a significant move to enhance its global presence, Veritas, a US-based supplier of rubber, plastics, aluminum, and steel solutions for the automotive industry, has inaugurated a manufacturing facility in Tangier, Morocco. This marks Veritas’ first establishment in Morocco and its inaugural facility on the African continent.
The new plant represents the company’s first brownfield manufacturing project following the acquisition of a majority stake in Germany’s Veritas AG by HDT Automotive Solutions in 2024. This strategic investment aims to bolster Veritas’ support for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and Tier 1 suppliers, particularly as they expand operations in Morocco and North Africa.
According to Patrick Paige, CEO of Veritas, this facility is a key milestone in the company’s global growth strategy, enhancing its manufacturing network and positioning it for future market opportunities. The Tangier facility covers 5,000 square meters, with 3,835 square meters dedicated to production, and is equipped with extrusion capabilities. Production is set to commence in the third quarter of 2027.
