Chase Announces New Travel Benefits for Freedom Flex Card
WILMINGTON, Del., September 21, 2026 — Chase has revealed exciting new features for the Chase Freedom Flex card, including the elimination of foreign transaction fees on international purchases. With the addition of Points Boost offers for specific hotel bookings through Chase Travel, Freedom cardmembers can now enjoy enhanced value when they travel. Alongside the existing 5% cash back on Chase Travel purchases, these updates aim to optimize rewards for travelers.

New Features and Design
Beginning today, Freedom Flex cardmembers can shop abroad without incurring foreign transaction fees. Rotating Points Boost offers will also be available when redeeming points on select hotels booked via Chase Travel, with Ultimate Rewards points carrying a value of up to 10% more on these chosen bookings.
The app has been updated to allow cardmembers to preview 5% cash back categories a quarter in advance, aiding in planning and maximizing rewards. For Q1 2027, the featured categories are top streaming services and grocery stores (excluding Walmart and Target), allowing for consecutive quarter cash back opportunities in grocery spending.
Additionally, the Freedom Flex card showcases a revamped design featuring a deeper blue background and a modern stardust graphic. This updated card art will be available to both new and current cardmembers.
To celebrate the updates, new Freedom Flex cardmembers can earn a $250 welcome offer after spending $500 within the first three months.
