TECHnista Expands in Danville, Investing $15.1 Million and Creating Jobs
DANVILLE, Va. (WSET) — Education consulting firm TECHnista is set to invest $15.1 million and create at least 22 new jobs as it expands operations in Danville, as announced by Gov. Abigail Spanberger on Friday.
The company specializes in developing K-12 curriculum and workforce programs tailored for the defense and advanced manufacturing sectors. As part of its expansion, TECHnista will lease a 30,000-square-foot facility located in the Cyber Park Shell Building, which is managed by the Danville-Pittsylvania Regional Industrial Facility Authority.
Previously, TECHnista established a National Training and Technology Center in Pittsylvania County, facilitated by a five-year federal contract for its Manufacturing and Engineering Education Reimagined for All (MEERA) pilot program. This initiative is operational across seven states and one U.S. territory, aiming to enroll over 18,000 students in the 2026-27 school year. It focuses on introducing middle and high school students to manufacturing technologies and career opportunities, while also providing essential training and resources for educators.
To support this expansion, the Virginia Economic Development Partnership collaborated with local entities, including Danville, Pittsylvania County, and the Southern Virginia Regional Alliance. Gov. Spanberger also approved a $75,000 grant from the Commonwealth’s Opportunity Fund to assist with the project’s development.
