Jocy’s Restaurant in Fowler to Close After 20 Years
FOWLER, Calif. (FOX26) — After two decades of serving beloved Mexican dishes, Jocy’s restaurant will close its doors for good this Friday. Owner Francisco Arteaga cites significant challenges in sustaining the business post-COVID-19, estimating a 50% drop in profits and a reduced staff from 14 to just 6 employees.
Arteaga opened Jocy’s to become a staple in the Fowler community and became known for favorites like chicken flautas and beans. Longtime customers like Patricia and Joseph Amador express their sadness, reflecting on the restaurant’s positive impact over the years.
The final day will feature a live DJ, inviting the community to say goodbye. Customers are reminded that it’s also the last chance to redeem loyalty points through the restaurant’s app.
