Mia Mance Appointed to Chatham Area Transit Board of Directors
Chatham Area Transit (CAT) has appointed Mia Mance, the executive director of the Savannah Downtown Business Association, to its Board of Directors. Mance, who represents over 500 downtown businesses, brings more than 20 years of experience in media, marketing, and business leadership as the owner of Mia Talks Media & Marketing.
Replacing former board member Bert Brantley, Mance’s appointment was made by the Chatham County legislative delegation. Detric Leggett, chairman of the CAT Board, remarked on her unique blend of business leadership and communications expertise, emphasizing her commitment to community service.
Mance has received accolades for her advocacy, including the 2025 Savannah Legacy Leader Award and the 2025 Live Oak Public Library Chatham County Literacy Ambassador recognition. Her first board meeting was held on August 25, 2026.
