La Cinquecento, a British company, has introduced the Fiat 500 Scattante restomod, based on a 1973 Fiat 500 R. It debuted at the Tutto Bene Hillclimb on September 9. The original vehicle was stored in a family barn for about 25 years and belonged to the founder’s family.

Key Features:

Engine and Performance:

  • Retains the classic rear-engine layout with a new 802cc engine from the Fiat 126.
  • Equipped with a twin-spark ignition and manual transmission.
  • Enhanced suspension, brakes, steering, cooling, and electrical systems.
  • Target curb weight: ~650 kg, about 150 kg more than the original, attributed to upgraded components.

Design Elements:

  • Designed by BorromeodeSilva in Milan.
  • Features widened fenders, deeper side sills, and four iconic round headlights reminiscent of rally cars.
  • Interior maintains vintage aesthetics with analogue instruments and a two-spoke steering wheel.

Production and Pricing:

  • Limited production, with custom development for each vehicle.
  • Estimated cost: around £150,000 (~$202,000), though unconfirmed by the company.
