Etihad Introduces Upgraded Cabins for Airbus A330 Planes

Etihad Airways recently unveiled its new cabin offerings—First, Business, and Economy—named “Beyond Borders” for its Airbus A330 aircraft during the Arabian Travel Market. The airline is enhancing its commitment to First Class, planning to expand it to more aircraft and routes. As part of a $20 billion investment in growth and customer experience, including a $1 billion fleet retrofit program, Etihad aims to redefine expectations in air travel.

CEO Antonoaldo Neves highlighted the success of the Airbus A321LR, which introduced First and fully lie-flat Business seats to a single-aisle plane, showing a shift in traditional narrowbody standards. Starting in September 2027, Etihad will begin integrating 15 A330s over five years, catering to regional and medium-haul markets with a focus on luxury travel.

The new A330 will feature four First suites with doors for privacy, 32-inch screens, and personal amenities. The Business Class will provide 24 fully lie-flat seats with direct aisle access and privacy doors. Economy will consist of 252 seats in a serene environment, featuring 13.3-inch touchscreens, charging options, and an Extra Legroom section. This overhaul aims to enhance passenger experience across the board.
