Prestige beauty retailer Space NK has appointed Emma Simpson-Scott as CEO. This transition follows Andy Lightfoot’s departure, who led the company for a decade during a significant growth phase and its acquisition by Ulta Beauty.
Ulta’s president, Kecia Steelman, praised Lightfoot for his “10 years of service” and the contributions he made during Space NK’s transformation into a market leader in beauty retail. She noted that his legacy will endure in the company’s future endeavors.
Lightfoot began his journey at Space NK as Global Digital Director in 2016, taking the helm in 2019. His leadership was pivotal during challenging times, including the pandemic, as he expanded the brand’s retail footprint and introduced innovative concepts in stores.
The latest Space NK outlet opened this summer at the Lakeside mall in Essex, marking the brand’s presence in key shopping locations across the UK.
Simpson-Scott, who has been with Space NK for a decade—most recently as Chief Marketing Officer—brings over 20 years of luxury retail experience to the role. Steelman commended her for her customer insights and retail expertise.
Alongside Simpson-Scott, Space NK has also appointed Hannah Quy as CFO and Tiff Ruis as Senior VP of Retail & E-commerce, both of whom join from Ulta Beauty.
