THOMASVILLE — Prince Automotive Group has made a significant donation of automotive parts valued at $378,240 to Southern Regional Technical College (SRTC), distributed as follows: $208,370 from Prince of Tifton and $169,870 from Prince of Albany. This generous contribution aims to enhance SRTC’s Automotive Technology program by providing students with direct access to authentic parts and components used in the industry.
This partnership is designed to effectively bridge the divide between theoretical classroom instruction and the practical realities of the automotive field, equipping students with the hands-on experience they need for their future careers.
Heather P. Stripling of Prince Automotive Group expressed pride in this donation: “We are investing in students who are preparing for careers in the automotive industry. This donation is important because it supports our local technical school and helps provide students with the practical experience essential for success.”
Jim Glass, President of Southern Regional Technical College, thanked Prince Automotive Group for their generosity, stating, “Their support reflects a strong commitment to workforce development and community growth. This contribution provides our automotive technology students with crucial hands-on experience needed for success in the field. We are grateful and look forward to continuing this partnership.”
SRTC’s Automotive Technology Associate Degree program equips students with knowledge and skills through a blend of theoretical learning and practical application. Over five semesters, students prepare for careers in automotive service and repair, graduating as qualified entry-level technicians. SRTC also offers a range of degree, diploma, and certificate programs across its Thomasville and Moultrie campuses.
Additionally, SRTC provides over 150 programs aimed at rapidly launching students into their desired careers, along with transfer options to various universities. The College is actively accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).
