LANSING, Mich. (News 10) – Local business owners met in Lansing to learn how to leverage artificial intelligence to defend against rising cyber threats.
Grassroots Giving Lansing and LAFCU collaborated for a Black Business Mixer on Marketplace Boulevard, focusing on cybersecurity strategies to safeguard small businesses while enhancing growth.
Organizers emphasized the importance of face-to-face connections, especially in a time when many have relied heavily on technology. “A lot of times we are behind a screen… This gives an opportunity for more intimate interactions,” remarked Tamera Carter, vice president of membership growth and development at LAFCU.
The event highlighted essential defenses against phishing, scams, and data breaches, helping local businesses remain resilient in the digital landscape.
