Genuine Parts Company Announces Leadership Changes and Upcoming Separation
ATLANTA, Sept. 9, 2026 – Genuine Parts Company (NYSE: GPC), a global leader in automotive and industrial parts, has announced key leadership appointments and a planned separation into two independent public companies.
Leadership Team
- Court Carruthers will be the Chief Executive Officer-elect of GPC and will assume the CEO role upon the separation in Q1 2027. He has extensive experience from TricorBraun and W.W. Grainger.
- Jean-Jacques Lafont will become Non-Executive Chairman of GPC post-separation, leveraging his background in the automotive aftermarket.
- Will Stengel will transition to Chairman and CEO of Motion, the new industrial business.
