Volusia County Business Owner Recovering After Stabbing
VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — Jessica and Count Foreman, co-owners of Saute Kingz in Daytona Beach, are temporarily closing their popular restaurant, food truck, and catering business following a violent incident involving their 23-year-old son, Jesshuan.
On August 25, in Holly Hill, Count was stabbed when Jesshuan, who reportedly has schizophrenia, unexpectedly lunged at him with a knife during a conversation outside their home. Count described the situation as “fighting for your life,” leading to his injuries, including a punctured lung and the need for surgery.
As Jesshuan awaits legal proceedings in Volusia County Jail, his parents emphasize his significant role in their family business, where he had previously competed alongside them on a cooking show. The couple is now dedicated to Count’s recovery while seeking assistance for Jesshuan’s mental health challenges.
They have started a GoFundMe to help with expenses, predicting their business may be closed until October as Count heals. The Foremans remain hopeful for their son’s future, wishing for him to become a contributing member of society once again.
