Arkansas Black Hall of Fame Announces Class of 2026 Inductees
The Arkansas Black Hall of Fame (ABHOF) has revealed the Class of 2026 inductees and details for the 32nd annual induction ceremony. Six distinguished Arkansans will be honored on Saturday, Oct. 24, at 7:30 p.m. at the Robinson Center Performance Hall in Little Rock. Inductees for the Class of 2026:
- Rebecca “Becky” and Darrell Finney, Hot Springs – Visionary entrepreneurs and philanthropic leaders
- Frank A. James III, Ph.D., Little Rock – Educator, civil rights leader, and advocate
- Joe Marcus Johnson, Little Rock – Seven-time NBA All-Star and philanthropist
- Raymond P. Miller, M.D. (posthumous), Cotton Plant – Pioneering physician and education advocate
- Hazell Reed, Ph.D., Heth – Respected agricultural educator and administrator
- Shirley N. Weber, Ph.D., Hope – California’s 32nd secretary of state and advocate for voting rights and social justice
Charles Stewart, ABHOF Chairman, expressed enthusiasm about the inductees, stating, “Their stories remind us that greatness is not just defined solely by one’s accomplishments, but by the lives one has touched.”
Proceeds from ticket sales will fund the Arkansas Black Hall of Fame Foundation’s annual grants program, which has awarded over $1.3 million since 2010, benefiting communities across 71 of Arkansas’ 75 counties.
