Stoke Space has recently secured $1 billion in its Series E funding round, totaling $2.3 billion in investor contributions. The funds will support the development of the Nova Pathfinder and the more powerful Nova Block 2 rocket, capable of delivering up to 15 tons to low Earth orbit (LEO).
CEO Andy Lapsa expressed gratitude for the support, emphasizing the need to enhance capabilities in response to customer demand. The Nova Pathfinder, utilizing advanced technologies, serves as a precursor for Block 2, which aims for a first launch by 2029.
Both rockets emphasize rapid reusability, utilizing innovative FFSC engines that reduce maintenance. The Block 2 model also enhances thrust and payload capacity. Company plans include significant infrastructure expansion at both its test site in Washington and Cape Canaveral in Florida, supporting ongoing vehicle tests and preparations for upcoming launches.
The Nova Pathfinder is aiming for an early 2027 launch, with plans for multiple missions while Block 2 completes its development.
