RICHMOND, Maine (WABI) – A fire that destroyed an automotive shop in Richmond has been ruled accidental. The incident occurred at A&W Auto Sales and Service on Brunswick Road around 12 p.m. on Monday. Investigators from the Fire Marshal’s Office found that the fire began inside the garage while someone was welding on a vehicle. The flames spread throughout the building and affected other vehicles in the yard. One employee sustained a minor burn but did not require hospitalization, according to authorities.
