The focus is on vehicle actuation for automated and software-defined vehicles, featuring key products like the EA5000NP e-axle, EMB systems, and solutions geared for heavy trucks, city buses, and transit platforms.
As commercial vehicles evolve towards electrification and automation, CDTL highlights a shift in engineering challenges—transitioning from sensing and decision-making to the reliable translation of digital commands into actual vehicle movement. They identify distributed e-drive and EMB as essential components for this actuation layer.
Distributed e-drives enable independent control of propulsion and torque, while EMB directly translates braking commands into force on the wheels. CDTL’s technology is already in use across various commercial platforms.
