BRADENTON — The Manatee Chamber of Commerce Celebrates Local Excellence
On August 28, the Manatee Chamber of Commerce hosted the 46th Annual Small Business & Nonprofit of the Year Awards at the Bradenton Area Convention Center. This year, over 200 local businesses and nonprofits were nominated, with nearly 100 completing an extensive application process. After thorough interviews, seven winners were chosen across various categories.
2026 Small Business & Nonprofit of the Year Award Winners:
Nonprofit Category One: Manatee River Fair Association
For nearly 90 years, the Manatee River Fair Association has been integral to the community, hosting 37 events and attracting approximately 113,000 attendees to its signature fair. The organization empowers local youth with skills in leadership and communication.
Nonprofit Category Two: United Way Suncoast
Recognized for its collaborative efforts, United Way Suncoast addressed major community challenges, serving 4,800 people and positively impacting local students through various initiatives.
Small Business Category One: Gulf Coast Music Therapy
This organization helps individuals gain confidence and skills through music therapy. Founded in 2006, it now serves over 100 clients weekly and has adapted its model in response to industry challenges.
Small Business Category Two: Aginto
Aginto measures its success by the growth of its clients and community, retaining 94% of its client base while donating over $84,000 to local nonprofits.
Small Business Category Three: Coastal Hearing Care
Focusing on exceptional customer service, Coastal Hearing Care has grown by over 560% since 2020 and provides free services to residents in need.
Small Business Category Four: Ananda Farm
Transforming its operations, Ananda Farm welcomed over 65,000 visitors in its first expanded year and engages in youth programs and local partnerships.
Small Business Category Five: ZNS Engineering
With 50 years of operation, ZNS Engineering is involved in key local projects and actively supports the community through charitable initiatives.
The awards, sponsored by Seacoast Bank, celebrated the finalists’ talent and commitment to Manatee County. Since its inception, the program has recognized over 170 local small businesses, expanding to honor nonprofits in 2016.
An independent panel of business leaders selected the winners based on their professionalism and dedication to community impact.
