A Science Hill man has been arrested following an investigation into the alleged abuse of a one-year-old child.
Pulaski County Sheriff Bobby Jones reports that 32-year-old Lucas Q. Bradshaw was arrested without incident at his home early Saturday morning. The investigation began when Pulaski County 911 received a call from the child’s father about a possible assault. Detective Branson Patterson responded to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, where the child was being treated for injuries.
Investigators found that the child had been left in Bradshaw’s care for an extended period earlier that week. After gathering further evidence, a warrant was obtained for Bradshaw’s arrest. He faces charges of first-degree criminal abuse of a child under 12 and second-degree assault. Bradshaw is currently held at the Pulaski County Detention Center on a $75,000 cash bond.
The case is expected to be presented to a Pulaski County grand jury.
