San Franciscans can participate in various events throughout the month to learn more about California’s rich biodiversity.

September Events
- Free Community Science Events on September 5 and 12 at Dimond Park in Oakland and Sunset Dunes.
- Film Screening of the new film, Timescapes, which explores California’s natural history, starting September 4 in the Morrison Planetarium; included with museum admission.
- Nature Festival in Golden Gate Park on September 27, featuring local organizations and initiatives focused on nature conservation. This free event is an excellent opportunity to learn about ongoing conservation efforts in California.
