The city of Henderson successfully completed its “Clear the Shelters” initiative, resulting in over 120 animals finding new homes. Throughout the month, 90 dogs and 34 cats were adopted at a discounted rate for pets aged 6 months and older. The adoption fees include essential services such as routine vaccines, spaying or neutering, microchip identification, and rabies tags.
For those who missed the event, there are still many animals looking for forever homes. Animal Protection Services is open Monday to Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at their location on 300 E. Galleria Dr., with adoptions finalized by 4:30 p.m.
